A little more about this organically grown coffee
Carefully hand-picked & monsooned, the “Malabar India Bio” is a rare coffee. Exposed to the humidity of the monsoon winds, it undergoes a unique process that gives it a uniquely spicy flavor unlike any other, reminiscent of the scents of pepper.
Produced by organic farming, this single-origin coffee is grown by small farmers in harmony with nature and people, deep in an isolated, mountainous region (1500m) of Kerala. Sheltered from rain and sun by a canopy of trees and vegetation, the coffee plants grow deep inside the jungle amid an astonishing variety of different species. A preserved biodiversity that safeguards the exceptional quality of the soil and the coffee. Fairtrade-certified product.
This coffee is inspired by the “Holi” festival, sometimes called “Festival of Colors”. It is an ancient Hindu tradition celebrating the arrival of spring and fertility. Participants dress in white and throw colored pigments at one another. Each pigment has its own meaning: red for love, green for harmony, orange for optimism, and blue for vitality.
One-way valves on the whole-bean packs and the sachets prevent oxidation and optimally preserve the long-lasting freshness and subtle aromas of the coffees..

Analysis, tasting, and development shape its daily routine so that the coffee acquires its exquisite aromas and savory flavor.</b>.</p>Founded in 1900 by a family of French origin, La Semeuse has always been a family business. Since its creation, La Semeuse has remained faithful to its place of origin, La Chaux-de-Fonds, for its location at 1000m in a high valley of the Jura, essential to the creation of the unique taste of its coffees. Specialized at the time in the sale of a very reputable peanut oil, the founding family decided in 1920 to give the same name to its coffee brand. This gave birth to Cafés La Semeuse. Always, the priority of Cafés La Semeuse has been to guarantee the consistency of taste and the quality of its coffees. The brand offers unique and timeless recipes with an artisanal roasting method, so that the customer can find in every cup the coffee he appreciates and knows.
