HOW TO USE CAFETTO BIO CLEANER?

To clean the brew group head:

  • Every week, after the backflush, add a small amount of detergentCafetto Bioto clean the espresso residues present in the blind basket. Dissolve it in hot water and insert the portafilter into the brew group head.
  • Activate the brew lever then stop after about 10 seconds. Repeat this several times.
  • Empty theCafetto cleanerBiofrom the basket, then perform a backflush using only water until the detergent residues are thoroughly purged from the brew group.

To clean the shower screen and the brew head seal:

  • Use the rounded end of a 12 mm adjustment screw to remove the shower screen and the brew head.
  • Unscrew the brass spacer located inside the brew group using a short-blade screwdriver.
  • Clean the inside of the brew group head using the cleaning brush specifically provided for cleaning the brew group head.
  • Using a damp cloth, clean the area where the portafilter locks into the brew group head.
  • Soak the removed metal parts (shower screen, brass spacer) in a solution consisting of 2 teaspoons ofCafetto cleaner Biofor cleaning espresso residues and hot water. Soak for 10 minutes. Rinse, dry and replace them.
  • Use the portafilter to push the shower screen back into place, which is positioned above the head seal, inside the brew group head. The chamfer on the seal should be facing upwards.
  • Once the head seal becomes brittle or the shower screen has been perforated, they will need to be replaced. These parts are consumables.

To clean the portafilter:

  • Remove the filter basket from the portafilter handle using a small screwdriver or the underside of the blind basket.
  • Wipe the inside of the basket and portafilter with a damp cloth.
  • If coffee oils have built up, soak the metal end of the portafilter and the basket in theCafetto cleanerBio,as explained above.
  • Rinse thoroughly, dry and put it back in place.
