The characteristics of the Aquaclean filter
The AquaClean CA6903/00 cartridge features a microporous filter limiting the presence of impurities in your water. The ion-exchange technology of this cartridge limits limescale in the water, thus preventing deposits. If you change the filter every three months, limescale in your coffee machine will be significantly reduced.
However, note: activating AquaClean disables the descaling indicator on some machines. You must remain vigilant about descaling frequency to keep your coffee excellent.
Why descale your coffee machine?
Maintaining a coffee machine involves several steps (rinsing the brew group weekly, lubricating and degreasing the group monthly, replacing liquid descaler, water filter cartridge, and AquaClean quarterly...), and descaling is an integral part. Descaling is essential to keep the machine in good condition longer and to have purified water and great cup results. Descaling reduces water hardness, leading to a more pleasant cup.
With an AquaClean filter, descaling can be significantly spaced out. With the AquaClean filter, you don't need to descale your machine before 5,000 cups. However, to enjoy this convenience, you must change the AquaClean filter every 3 months or every 625 cups.
