DELONGHI Dedica Arte EC885.M + Barista Pack
A revisited DeLonghi Dedica coffee machine
The Dedica is the small iconic DeLonghi espresso machine, a popular model among those starting out in the world of espresso. The Dedica Arte EC885.M takes all the strengths of its big sister, with its elegant and compact design that will fit into any small kitchen or coffee corner.
This percolator espresso machine is versatile, as it allows you to use pre-ground coffee (thanks to the pressurized filters) or ESE pods (a practical solution for guests who prefer decaf, for example).
In addition, the Dedica Arte EC885.M is equipped with a higher quality portafilter, identical to that of the Specialista.
Its pressurized filters are taller, with greater capacity, for an even more flavorful espresso. The 1-cup filter holds 7/8 g and the 2-cup filter holds 14/16 g of ground coffee.
Your coffee will be even better with freshly ground coffee beans: an entry-level coffee grinder will be sufficient to get an espresso grind suitable for the filters of this Dedica Arte coffee machine.
The Dedica Arte EC885.M is equipped with a thermoblock for rapid heating (about 35 seconds) and good temperature maintenance.
This DeLonghi coffee machine is simple to use, with 3 backlit buttons, a self-priming system that keeps the machine always ready for use and a cup warming tray to avoid thermal shock.
The Dedica Arte has also been designed to accommodate your cups, with a two-height adjustable tray.
A new LatteArt steam wand and simple settings
The DeLonghi Dedica Arte EC885.M is equipped with a LatteArt steam wand semi-professional stainless steel, to allow you to express your creativity with your milk drinks. Delicious cappuccinos and Latte Art designs are yours to make!
A barista pitcher in stainless steel is included so you can start your home barista adventure!
You can also dispense hot water via the steam wand, a useful function for making tea or lengthening your coffee.
Thanks to the backlit buttons, you can also:
- Adjust the temperature of your coffee as you like (low, medium, high).
- Program the amount of coffee in the cup
- Adjust the water hardness.
- Set the automatic shutdown of the machine (various choices available: 9 min, 30 min, 3 hours).
Accessories and maintenance of the Dedica Arte
This DeLonghi Arte EC885.M espresso machine comes with 1 aluminum portafilter (51 mm), 1 single-cup pressurized filter, 1 double-cup pressurized filter, an ESE pod filter, a dosing spoon, a cleaning needle, and a descaler.
A DeLonghi Barista Pack composed of:
- A 35 cl stainless-steel DeLonghi milk jug
- A tamper with a flat stainless-steel base by DeLonghi
Remember that a so-called "pressurized" filter allows for a more interesting result in the cup without necessarily needing a coffee grinder. Find more information on using pressurized filters on our blog Single or Pressurized Filters!
To ensure a long life for your DeLonghi coffee machine, don&t forget the maintenance products!
A well-maintained machine will also give you a great cup result!
We like
- The steam wand better suited for Latte Art
- Programmable buttons
- The design with the metallic body
- The aluminum portafilter and the new filters
- All included accessories
Note
- A basic domestic electric grinder will work perfectly with the pressurized filters
