Origin, an exceptional single-origin Brazil whole-bean coffee
For its dark-roast whole-bean line, Lugat selected a single-origin coffee from Brazil, grown at 600m altitude in Jacarezinho, at Fazenda Califórnia. The farm is run by Luiz Saldanha, agricultural engineer, MBA, certified Q-Grader and co-founder of Capricornio Coffees and Synapses Coffee Education.
Committed to sustainability, he earned the certifications UTZ (2007) and Rainforest Alliance (2011), making his farm the first certified in the state of Paraná. Luiz collaborated with international experts to develop innovative fermentation methods inspired by oenology.
Fazenda Califórnia has won numerous awards, including the Cup of Excellence in 2010 and 2015, a gold medal at the Australian International Coffee Awards, and participated in the Starbucks Reserve program with a yeast-fermented lot.
Tasting notes for Lugat Origin whole-bean coffee
This single-origin whole-bean coffee 100% arabica of the Obatã variety is a natural dark-roast whole-bean coffee, roasted artisanally in France by the Lugat.
On the palate it opens with fruity notes of black cherries, a full body reminiscent of dark chocolate, and a lingering finish of indulgent notes.

– 1 espresso made with Origin whole-bean coffee
– 1.5 cl caramel syrup
– 1 tall glass
– 1 tsp cinnamon syrup
– 30 cl milk
Time to get practical: grab your syrups and pour the specified amounts into your glass, then set aside. Steam a nice milk foam and pour it into your glass. Dust with toppings of your choice in addition to the cinnamon.
