1336 Scop Ti is a French tea brand whose identity is as strong as the flavour of its teas and infusions is delicious.
1336 is the number of days the tug-of-war lasted between the employees of the Fralib plant and the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever, the world’s leading producer of ice cream and tea. A few kilometres from Marseille, workers fought to keep their jobs and save their Gémenos factory, slated for closure. After making their voices heard all summer, then the next, and the next, and after 1336 days of exemplary mobilisation, the former Fralib employees finally won by taking over the plant as SCOP TI (Société Coopérative Ouvrière Provençale de Thés et d'Infusions) and launching the 1336 tea and infusion brand.
This symbolic brand offers plain or flavoured teas and infusions, 100 % natural. All are crafted in Gémenos near Marseille, to the gentle song of cicadas, by the cooperative workers—passionate heirs to this incredible story.
