1336 Scop Ti is a French tea brand whose identity is as strong as the flavour of its teas and infusions is delicious.
1336 is the number of days that the standoff between the Fralib factory workers and the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever, the world’s leading producer of ice cream and tea, lasted. A few kilometres from Marseille, employees resisted to keep their jobs and save their Gémenos factory, slated for closure. After making their voices heard all one summer, then the next, and the next, and after 1336 days of exemplary mobilisation, the former Fralib workers finally won by taking over the factory as SCOP TI (Provençal Workers’ Cooperative Society of Teas and Infusions) and launching the 1336 tea and infusion brand.
This symbolic brand offers natural or flavoured teas and infusions, 100 % natural. All are made in Gémenos near Marseille, to the gentle song of cicadas by the cooperative workers, passionate heirs of this incredible story.
