A quiet coffee grinder for any type of grind
The German brand Mahlkönig is recognized for the performance and reliability of its professional coffee grinders. With the Mahlkönig Home range, it's all a professional expertise that is now offered for domestic use.
The Mahlkönig X54 grinder is part of the Mahlkönig Home range. It was designed for coffee lovers who like to change extraction method according to their mood! Espresso, Aeropress, V60, Chemex, filter coffee, moka pot or French press : the choice is yours!
The X54 coffee grinder makes it very easy to switch from espresso to filter, thanks to its removable interface : by pressing a button, the base panel (used to grind into the included stainless steel dosing cup) can be removed to insert the panel with forks for a portafilter.
The portafilter support is height-adjustable. The side knob offers 35 different settings precise to choose the fineness of the grind. This adjustment is micrometric (the numbers on the knob represent a physical scale for reference).
The X54 black coffee grinder is equipped with 54 mm flat burrs in diameter, made of steel specially designed by Mahlkönig to ensure a uniform grind.
The X54 is a rather quiet grinder: its acoustics are optimized, for a sound level below 70 dB(A).
LED screen with preset recipes or on-demand grinding
The Mahlkönig X54 black grinder features a premium LED display with 4 pre-programmed recipes, defined by grinding time. You can change these basic recipes according to your preferences and daily needs.
- Recipe 1: 6 seconds (about 12 g of ground coffee)
- Recipe 2: 30 seconds (to make about 1 L of filter coffee)
- Recipe 3: 20 seconds (for a double espresso)
- Recipe 4: 10 seconds (for a single espresso)
The X54 also allows on-demand grinding by selecting the "Manual Grind" function. Simply place the portafilter under the dosing spout to start and remove it to stop grinding. To use the dosing cup, with the appropriate module, press "Start" or "Stop" to grind your coffee. In manual mode, the displayed time is the elapsed grinding time.

- Average grinding capacity (depending on coffee and grind setting): approximately 1-2.8 g/s
- No-load speed (220 - 240 V): 1000 rpm
- Built-in and adjustable standby timer
- Wi-Fi connection to access the Mahlkönig server: software updates, access to usage statistics of your grinder and any error messages.
For burr maintenance on this grinder, the brand recommends using Grindz in the supplied manual.
