The Delta Q MiniMilk Qool works with Delta Q capsules. The big positive point about this coffee machine is that the latte drinks are prepared from real (liquid) milk. Thus, people who have dietary restrictions can perfectly use plant-based milk: it's your choice. To set up a latte drink, nothing could be easier: a selection dial is located on the right of the coffee maker. It has three positions: café crème (to pour an espresso then milk foam on top), cappuccino (to pour milk before coffee), and a "cleaning" button that will purge the milk system. This dial activates as soon as you snap the milk reservoir (600 ml) onto the machine.
A full milk reservoir allows you to prepare 2 cups. Cleaning it is quick: the special option lets you rinse it in 25 seconds only. Just fill the milk reservoir with water and snap it onto the machine. Turn the dial to "cleaning" and place a container under the spouts: that's it!
Also, you can always detach the milk reservoir and wash its parts one by one under the tap. Some are even dishwasher-safe.
The Delta Q machine is in shiny black plastic and only the top of the machine has a matte black part and a stainless-steel lever. This color scheme lets the coffee maker fit into any kitchen. Plus, it has an elongated structure that saves space on countertops that aren't very large. A small footprint goes with a small compartment: the machine keeps only 7 used capsules in its capsule compartment.
The MiniMilk Qool's water reservoir snaps into the back and holds up to 600 ml of water to prepare several cups. We like that the reservoir comes off completely, as does its lid: it's more convenient for filling.
With this machine, you can stop the flow of your drink at any time. To do so, perform the same action as to start extraction: press a button. The MiniMilk Qool has no buttons to push, but an interface with touch buttons that light up. Four buttons in total, and nothing complicated—one per drink: one for short coffees (about 30 ml espresso), long coffees (45 ml to 75 ml) but also latte drinks: cappuccinos or café crème (190 ml to 220 ml), as well as water for your herbal teas or teas (180 ml to 220 ml).
Fast, this coffee machine preheats the water in approximately one minute. You will know that preheating is in progress, as the drink logos will blink. They will be steady when you can start brewing coffee.
