The manual espresso machine Lelit PL41EM is the first machine in Lelit’s Anna series.
It belongs to the "50s Line" range, domestic coffee machines inspired by Italian legends such as the Vespa or the Fiat 500.
The Lelit Anna PL41EM was designed for those who want to enter the espresso world gently and who are also looking for abeautiful coffee machine that is quitecompact, All LELIT espresso machines are made in Italy with materials sourced from Italy or Europe.
Every LELIT espresso machine (whatever the range: evolutive or semi-pro) is also tested twice on the production line before being carefully boxed.
The high-end components of this Lelit PL41EM coffee machine
The 57 mm diameter brew group and the brass portafilter are of professional quality and ensure good temperature stability.
The brass boiler with a 250 ml capacity keeps the water temperature constant to facilitate coffee extraction.
The pressure gauge on the front panel lets you monitor the pressure during espresso extraction.
A cup warmer on top of the machine to pre-heat your cups and avoid thermal shock during extraction.
A stainless-steel grid on the drip tray.
Its ease of use
This machine has 3 simple oval push-buttons, each with an easily readable pictogram.
The pre-heating time is fast (about 3 minutes for a first espresso) but we recommend waiting 15 minutes to allow the brass portafilter to reach the right temperature for a perfect espresso!
The feature was well thought out with a very simple water collection tray to remove for emptying and cleaning.
For lovers of milky drinks, the stainless steel steam wand will allow you to make beautiful milk froth, as well as dispense hot water.
If you're looking for a multidirectional wand that's easier to handle, you'll need to turn to the higher-end model by switching to the Lelit Anna PL41LEM.
For ground coffee or ESE pods: great versatility
The Lelit Anna PL41EM machine is supplied with single and double cup filters for use with freshly ground coffee using a suitable espresso grinder and a filter for ESE pods, very handy for emergencies or offering a decaf option to your guests.
In addition, BaristaDiscount offers you a two-cup pressurized filter so you can use pre-ground coffee.
The Backflush function for deep cleaning
The Lelit Anna PL41EM is equipped with a 3-way solenoid valve that evacuates excess water in the portafilter at the end of extraction and protects the machine in case of overpressure.
This also means you can perform a Backflush (deep cleaning) to clean your machine, using the blind filter and a specialized espresso machine cleaning product.
For the record, Lelit named this espresso machine "Anna" in homage to the character played by Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holiday," a film that featured the famous 1950s Vespa scooter!
