This washed coffee, sourced from the Konga washing station in the Yirgacheffe region, is the fruit of the work of Takele Mammo, a recognized expert in the coffee supply chain. Former General Manager of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU) for 12 years, Takele oversaw one of Ethiopia’s largest cooperatives, collaborating with local producers to supply an exceptional diversity of coffees to international roasters. He optimizes his production through a dry mill and an office located in Addis Ababa.
The Konga station, perched at 1,900 metres above sea level, benefits from the unique conditions of the Gedeo highlands. Nestled in a Gedeo biodiversity-rich environment, this emblematic region offers an ideal terroir for producing globally renowned coffees.
