Despite its compact size, it features generous containers: 1.8 L water tank, bean hopper of 250 g (equivalent to a standard bag) and capacity for 14 spent pucks, limiting frequent handling. Note: the bean compartment does not have an airtight seal against air or grinder noise, but remains protected from light thanks to an opaque lid, thus preserving bean freshness under normal usage conditions.

If you’re looking for more modern options, I’d tend to recommend this machine’s big sister, the DeLonghi Magnifica Smart.
Its fairly compact size and rather large containers are real assets for the machine’s autonomy; you don’t need to fill or empty it often. It’s been a staple for several years now and still remains so.
It’s an ideal coffee machine for a first purchase, offering the two most consumed drinks (espresso and lungo) as well as milk-based beverages.
