Discovering the origin: Ethiopia, cradle of Moka Sidamo
Located in southern Ethiopia, near the Kenyan border, the Sidamo region takes its name from the Sidama people, a community settled in this fertile land. This southern part of the country enjoys ideal natural conditions for coffee cultivation: high altitudes, rich soils and a temperate climate.
Coffee trees grow naturally in the shade of dense vegetation within a preserved forest environment. The harvest, carried out carefully by hand, selects only ripe cherries. The wet-processing method, typical of the region, reveals all the brightness and aromatic finesse of the bean. Washed Moka Sidamo accounts for roughly 11 % of national production and remains one of the most sought-after coffees for its elegant acidity and refined flavour profile.
