Lupin coffee is an alternative to coffee made from roasted lupin seeds. It is caffeine-free and its taste is similar to that of coffee, with a slight note of hazelnut and caramel. Like coffee, there are different intensities. Here, this dark coffee of strong intensity can be compared to a dark roast and will particularly appeal to fans of Italian coffee.
Dark lupin coffee: our consumption tips
The grind of lupin coffee is coarser and heavier than that of a classic coffee, it also swells more because it has a higher protein content. Also, we advise you to use a little less than you are used to for your coffee. You can prepare it with an espresso machine, a filter coffee maker, an Italian coffee maker, a piston coffee maker, etc. Count on average 6 to 8 g for 100 ml of water.
Lupi Coffee dark lupin coffee can be consumed hot or cold. The "dark" version is designed to be consumed as an espresso. Of course, nothing prevents you from enjoying it as a long coffee or in milk-based drinks like cappuccinos or iced lattes.
After opening, store it in a dry place, away from light and hermetically sealed. Do not hesitate to transfer it to a coffee conservation box for even more practicality.
