This Cosy & Trendy cast iron teapot from China stands out with its raised geometric shapes. The teapot is premium quality with remarkable finishing detail and superior interior enameling. Cast iron is ideal for keeping your tea at the right temperature and its 1000 ml capacity lets you share delicious cups of tea.
Its high-quality micro-perforated stainless steel filter prevents tea leaves from escaping, also making filling and cleaning easier. The width of the filter provides full tea leaf infusion and releases the aromas for maximum flavor in the cup.
Special features of cast iron teapots:
Very durable, these teapots have the advantage of keeping tea hot for hours thanks to the cast iron.
The enameled cast iron interior is coated with a food-safe varnish preventing any oxidation (no rust) and thus ensuring a longer life for your teapot.
Cast iron teapots are ideal for delicate teas like green and white teas (which need to infuse at lower temperature and longer) because they keep the water at the right temperature throughout the infusion.
Expert tip:
It is important to heat the teapot by pouring boiling water into it before adding the tea leaves. This step preheats the teapot and creates moist heat causing a pre-infusion of the tea and releasing maximum aroma.
Care advice:
Clean your cast iron teapot with a damp cloth while it is still warm and let it air-dry, without the lid, before storing. Avoid any abrasive sponge that could damage your teapot.
This Sakai teapot is not dishwasher or microwave safe.
Do not use this teapot on a hotplate or over direct heat.
