An organic coffee
For several years, more and more producers from Latin America , from Central America the Caribbean and certain countries of Africa are converting to organic farming.
The natural balance being restored, chemicals are no longer of any use. organic farming is most often reserved for Arabicas , qualitatively superior in taste and whose growing locations are naturally more preserved. The Arabicas , native to Africa (Ethiopia) require soils rich in minerals and an altitude above 600m. Highly appreciated, this species produces fruits of very good quality with an elongated shape. The higher the altitude at which the coffee is grown, the finer its aromas and the less chemicals are needed as pests are non-existent.
These green beans of organic origin are sold about 40% more expensive than others.
Over the past 5 years, the supply has expanded significantly, today allowing for a beautiful diversity of pure origins with fine aromas. These different coffee varieties and terroirs have allowed our coffee experts to create very beautiful blends.
Guaranteed traceability
The soft pods Sélection n°1 100% Arabica from Destination is totally transparent about its origin, treatment and content. For this, a number of criteria are met:
- The physical control of plantations by international organizations
- The sampling and biochemical analysis of green coffee
- The identification and traceability from earth to cup (International lot number and import authorization)
- The precise production accounting so that each lot is identifiable from supply to consumer.
