C40 MK4: the new generation of Comandante manual grinders
The iconic Comandante C40 Nitro Blade grinder is back in an improved MK4 version.
Improvements for the C40 MK4 model:
- New cylinder support design to prevent beans from getting stuck.
- A high-end polymer grinding container, a near-indestructible material and lightweight.
2 containers are included with this grinder (one transparent polymer, one tinted glass). These containers can also serve as cups, as they are heat-resistant.
- New instructions in a detailed manual with photos, grind adjustment with or without Red Clix.
Quality burrs for precise and uniform grinding
The treated steel burrs of the Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade have a very thoughtful geometry and structure. They are remarkably efficient and its mechanism produces a surprising homogeneity of the grind.
The hardened steel is special, with high nitrogen content (patented by Comandante), hence the name Nitro Blade! It is a difficult steel to work with, but guarantees very wear-resistant burrs.
The Comandante C40 MK4 Nitro Blade manual coffee grinder is extremely versatile and allows grinding coffee very fine (for Turkish coffee) to a coarser grind (French press).
Settings and other features
The grinding adjustment system is located under the grinder. Simply turn the 3-pronged star clockwise for a finer grind, counter-clockwise for a coarser grind. A "click" action locks your preferred setting.
Its two containers allow you to transfer from the grinder to the portafilter, or to store your grind. A lid is provided for this purpose.
One container can hold up to 40 g of ground coffee (about 4-5 cups of coffee).
The wood used for the crank handle is oak from the Black Forest.
The body of the Comandante C40 Nitro Blade, American Cherry model, is stainless steel with a thin wood veneer layer.
