For several years, more and more producers from Latin America , from Central America the Caribbean and some countries in Africa have been converting to organic farming.
With the natural balance restored, chemicals are no longer of any use. Organic farming is most often reserved for Arabica beans, which are tastier and whose growing areas are naturally better preserved. , gustatively more qualitative and whose places of cultivation are naturally more preserved. The Arabicas , native to Africa (Ethiopia), require mineral-rich soils and altitudes above 600 m. Highly appreciated, this species produces very high-quality elongated fruits. The higher the altitude at which the coffee is grown, the finer its aromas and the less need for chemicals, as pests are virtually nonexistent.
These green beans from organic farming are sold for about 40 % more than the others.
Over the past five years, the supply has expanded considerably, now offering a fine diversity of pure origins with delicate aromas. These different coffee varieties and terroirs have enabled our coffeologists to create very beautiful blends.
Pods suitable for soft pod machines (SENSEO)
These universal soft Destination pods are compatible with SENSEO™ coffee makers and with all espresso machines.
These pods are specially designed for soft pod machines and for pump percolators (pressure equal to or greater than 10 bars).
Full traceability
These Destination pods are totally transparent about their origin, processing, and content. To achieve this, a number of criteria are met:
- The physical inspection of plantations by international bodies
- The sampling and biochemical analysis of green coffee
- The identification and traceability from soil to cup (international lot number and import authorization)
- The precise accounting of production so that each lot is identifiable from supply to consumer.
