Kusmi Tea tea bags are made of PLA (polylactic acid), which is a bio-based material produced by the transformation of renewable plant materials. These bags contain neither glue nor staples. The string is also made of PLA, attached to the bag through a thermal process. They are biodegradable and industrially compostable in appropriate collection systems.
