With the The Barista Touch Impress espresso machine, SAGE kept all the assets of the famous The Barista Touch model, with three major innovations.
Like its big sister, the Barista Touch Impress is designed with a beautiful stainless steel body. The SES881BST4FEU1 model is in black stainless steel.
The integrated grinder is equipped with quality stainless steel conical burrs, with a 30-setting system to get the ideal grind according to the chosen bean coffee.
The hopper can hold up to 340 g of coffee beans.
With its innovative heating system, the ThermoJet, the Sage Barista Touch Impress reaches the optimal extraction temperature in just three seconds.
The 2 L water tank provides good autonomy.
The Barista Touch Impress is the first assisted espresso machine from the SAGE brand, with technologies to help you make your favorite coffees and milk drinks with ease.
The Impress Puck system for perfect tamping.
On the Barista Touch Impress, coffee tamping is done via the lever on the side of the machine.
The SAGE Barista Touch Impress doesn't just tamp the coffee. Indeed, the Impress Puck system replicates the barista's gesture with a 10 kg pressure and a professional 7° twist on the ground coffee puck.
This straight and even tamping guarantees perfect extraction. The tamping lever requires no effort, as the machine does all the work.

Like the Barista Touch, the SAGE Barista Touch Impress espresso machine is equipped with a digital touchscreen to choose your drink and access many settings.
The major innovation is the barista guide : everything has been designed to make your life easier, with clear instructions in French, and icons to indicate what to touch.
- Grinding guide : The machine automatically detects if the dose of ground coffee is correct. If not, the screen will ask you to grind a little more and tamp again, until the dose is perfect.
When you switch coffee beans, the Sage Barista Touch Impress will also allow you to calibrate the grinder to adjust to the new coffee, following the on-screen instructions.
- Extraction guide : the machine measures the flow rate and will guide you on the screen if your coffee is over- or under-dosed. It will give you the steps to follow to get the best result in the cup.
- Milk-foaming guide : you can choose the milk temperature and the desired foam level for your drink.
The digital touchscreen also lets you set up and save your drinks, access maintenance, follow tutorials, etc.—all with very clear instructions.
The Auto MilQ function with settings for plant-based milks.
Sage has also equipped this machine with the automatic milk-foaming system. Thanks to the supplied milk jug, there’s no need for extra equipment.
With Auto MilQ technology, place your jug with the desired amount of milk, immerse the steam wand and follow the on-screen instructions to obtain perfect milk foam.
With Auto MilQ, you can:
- Choose the milk temperature with seven settings (from 45 °C to 45 °C).
- Choose the foam consistency, with eight micro-foam levels.
- Adjust the temperature, pressure and steam duration according to the type of milk used : cow’s milk, almond milk, soy milk or oat milk.
Plant-based milks tend to overheat more than cow’s milk. This system is designed to get the best out of your milk, whatever your choice, for delicious milk-based drinks.
Other features of the SAGE Barista Touch Impress
- Eight preset drinks : espresso, flat white, latte, cappuccino, long black, babyccino, hot chocolate, tea.
- The tea function lets you adjust the water temperature according to the type of tea used.
- Digital PID temperature control
- Separate hot-water outlet
- A small hidden drawer behind the drip tray for storing your accessories.

Accessories : 480 ml stainless-steel milk jug, 54 mm stainless-steel portafilter, cleaning disc, cleaning tablets, descaling powder, single-cup pressurised filter, double-cup pressurised filter, single-cup single-wall filter, double-cup single-wall filter, water filter cartridge with holder, cleaning brush, precision dosing tool “The Razor”, steam wand cleaning tool, water-hardness test strip.
Maintenance :To extend the life of your Sage espresso machine and for better results in the cup, it is recommended to use a filter cartridge (or pre-filtered water). Don't forget to descale your appliance following the brand's advice (see manual) and clean the accessories regularly.
The maintenance of the Sage Barista Touch Impress is simplified thanks to the on-screen instructions, the steam wand that purges automatically and the tamping system cover that removes easily to clean inside.
