SUPERKOP lever espresso machine in red
A durable and non-electric coffee machine
The Superkop is aninnovative coffee machine, which operates without electricity.
It requires hot water (from your tap or kettle), freshly ground coffee beans and elbow grease to operate the lever.
The Superkop lever machine is elegant and modern, with a sleek design and robust materials. Moreover, it can be mounted on the wall using the special bracket (sold separately).
The body of the Superkop is made of cast aluminum, the internal mechanism and moving parts (portafilter and filter) are made of stainless steel.
The water container is made of food-grade polycarbonate, it can hold up to 60 ml.
The wooden base adds a warm touch and provides good stability on your countertop.
The Superkop espresso machine was designed to last : every part has a function, nothing is obsolete and if necessary, the machine can be repaired by the user.
With its 58 mm diameter portafilter and simple-to-use mechanism, the Superkop will allow you to make quality espresso very quickly.
Using the SUPERKOP lever machine
The mechanism of the Superkop espresso machine is unique.
It uses a 1:40 displacement mechanism that applies increasing pressure through a series of six lever actions.
For a double espresso (or two singles), the manufacturer suggests 18 g of ground coffee, 60 ml of water heated to 95°C and an extraction time of 25 to 30 seconds.
- Fill your filter with ground coffee (do not overfill the filter, otherwise the water reservoir will not be able to be secured on top for extraction).
- Level the ground coffee and tamp firmly and straight, but not too hard.
- Secure the reservoir onto the portafilter. Push it gently until you hear a slight click.
- Pour hot water into the reservoir up to the second line (60 ml). The ideal temperature for espresso is ±95° C.
- Secure the portafilter with reservoir in the Superkop machine (with the lever raised). To start the extraction, lower the lever six times. The complete extraction should last between 25 and 30 seconds. The right rhythm is very important to achieve the ideal extraction. Don't go too fast.
- When your extraction is finished, release the piston by pushing the lever up and remove the portafilter (with the reservoir on top).
Of course, you can experiment with your Superkop to make different caffeinated drinks: latte, americano, flat white, affogato, espresso martini, etc.
A milk frother will be the ideal accessory for making milk-based drinks.
SUPERKOP: accessories and maintenance
The Superkop lever espresso machine must be set up on its base. All tools are provided and assembly is simple.
In the box, you will also find a double-spout portafilter, a single two-cup filter, and the water reservoir.
The Superkop comes with a certificate of authenticity and the machine is fitted with an engraved identification plate.
We recommend you get a dosing funnel and a tamper.
For maintenance, rinse the portafilter, the drip tray, and the grid with hot water. Dry before use.
Clean the reservoir with hot water and dry with a soft cloth. Do not disassemble the bottom and do not put this container in the dishwasher.
