SUPERKOP lever espresso machine in black
A durable, non-electric coffee machine
The Superkop is ainnovative coffee machine, which operates without electricity.
It requires hot water (from your tap or kettle), freshly ground coffee beans, and a bit of elbow grease to operate the lever.
The Superkop lever machine is elegant and modern, with a sleek design and robust materials. Moreover,it can be wall-mounted using the special wall bracket (sold separately).
The Superkop’s body is made ofcast aluminum, the internal mechanism and moving parts (portafilter and filter) aremade of stainless steel.
The water reservoir is made of food-grade polycarbonate and holds up to 60 ml.
Thewooden baseadds a warm touch and provides good stability on your countertop.
The Superkop espresso machine wasdesigned to last: every part has a function, nothing is obsolete, and if needed, the machine can be repaired by the user.
With its58 mm diameter portafilterand simple-to-use mechanism, the Superkop lets you pull a high-quality espresso very quickly.
Using the SUPERKOP lever machine
The Superkop espresso mechanism is unique.
It uses a1:40 displacement mechanismthat applies increasing pressure through six lever actions.
For a double espresso (or two singles), the manufacturer suggests 18 g of ground coffee, 60 ml of water heated to 95 °C, and an extraction time of 25–30 seconds.
- Fill your filter with ground coffee (do not overfill, or the water reservoir will not lock securely on top for extraction).
- Level the grounds and tamp firmly and straight, but not too hard.
- Lock the reservoir onto the portafilter. Push gently until you hear a soft click.
- Pour hot water into the reservoir up to the second mark (60 ml). The ideal espresso temperature is ±95 °C.
- Lock the portafilter with reservoir into the Superkop machine (lever raised). To start extraction, lower the lever six times. The full extraction should take 25–30 seconds. A steady rhythm is crucial for the ideal shot; do not go too fast.
- When extraction is finished, release the piston by pushing the lever upward and remove the portafilter (with reservoir still on).
Of course, you can experiment with your Superkop to make various coffee drinks: latte, americano, flat white, affogato, espresso martini, etc.
A milk frother will be the perfect accessory for milk-based beverages.
SUPERKOP: accessories and maintenance
The Superkop lever espresso machine must be set on its base. All tools are provided and assembly is simple.
In the box, you will also find a double-spout portafilter, a single two-cup filter, and the water reservoir.
The Superkop comes with a certificate of authenticity and the machine features an engraved identification plate.
We recommend you get a dosing funnel and a tamper.
For maintenance, clean the portafilter, the drip tray, and the grid with hot water. Dry before use.
Clean the reservoir with hot water and dry with a soft cloth. Do not disassemble the bottom and do not put this container in the dishwasher.
