Jura innovation: the P.A.G.2 grinder
The Jura E8 EC machine is equipped with the latest-generation P.A.G.2 grinder, which offers an optimal grinding experience for delicious coffee with every cup. An innovative feature of this grinder is the ability to adjust the grind level according to your preferences. Additionally, the P.A.G.2 grinder is designed to be in a relaxed resting state between preparations, which extends its lifespan and ensures consistent grinding.
It also features the Vacuum Clean System technology, which empties the grinding burrs after each grind to prevent blockages when changing grind fineness. Finally, the grinder in the Jura E8 EC is quieter and faster than the previous version, offering coffee preparation without excessive noise and more efficient grinding speed.
Perfect extraction with 3D and PEP technology
The Jura E8 coffee machine range features a functionality called "3D Pre-infusion" which plays an important role in the coffee extraction process. After tamping the coffee, water is evenly poured over the grounds, allowing the aromas to develop before extraction.
The machine also uses the "Pulse Extraction Process" (P.E.P) which applies pulsed pressure on the grounds to extract aromas in a balanced way. This allows the water to stay in contact with the grounds for the optimal extraction duration.

Fortunately, Jura machines are designed to be easy to maintain and guide you step by step through the process. Here are some key points for maintaining your Jura E8 EC
- The filter cartridge: The machine is compatible with the Claris Smart cartridge and one will be delivered with the machine. This cartridge filters your tap water, removing impurities such as limescale and residues.
- The extraction chamber: The Jura machine comes with 2 cleaning tablets. Use these tablets to regularly clean the extraction chamber, removing oil and ground residues.
- The milk system: For its maintenance, use the two-compartment container provided with the machine and dissolve a mini cleaning tablet in one of the compartments with water. The machine will then perform a complete rinse of the milk circuit to clean it thoroughly. Repeat this operation regularly to maintain optimal hygiene.
- The grounds container: The grounds container can hold up to 16 used coffee pucks, which is practical for daily use. However, it is recommended to empty it frequently to maintain your machine's cleanliness.
