The compact and elegant Ena 5 bean-to-cup coffee machine
This burr espresso machine offers a true taste and visual experience. Its timeless design is signed by Jura; it will always make a strong impression in your kitchen. A harmonious style with curves echoed in the water tank, grounds container, and spent-grounds hatch. The machine is equipped with a large2.8" TFT touchscreen, which guides you through settings and drink preparation. Its containers are perfect for solo or duo use.

Its bean hopper is located on top and opens with a handle in its centre. To protect the coffee beans, the lid is fitted with a seal. Because of its small capacity, it is advisable to use a storage canister, especially if your coffee bags are 250 g.
The burr espresso machine offers 3 unique extraction methods
The Jura Ena machine provides espresso and long coffee extracted in 3 different ways. This innovation lets you enjoy a recipe with different aroma revelations:
- Hot brew: Thanks to the P.E.P.® pulsed extraction process, it optimises extraction time, revealing more aromas from freshly ground beans for barista-quality espresso. Espresso and coffee can be adjusted to suit your taste preferences, ensuring a personalised, high-quality coffee experience.
- Cold Brew: Discover cold-coffee trends with its automated cold-extraction process. At the touch of a button it prepares a Cold Brew by slowly passing cold water through freshly ground coffee, replicating high-pressure espresso. This releases fruity aromas for an energising drink.
- Light Brew: Infused at around 60 °C with less coffee than classic Hot Brew, creating a unique and original flavour profile. Offering an ideal serving temperature and ready to enjoy, Light Brew charms with its light, airy note and aromatic sweetness, highly appreciated by coffee and tea lovers.
The controlled extraction of the Jura Ena 5
The burr espresso machine brings together all technologies in the service of extraction. Aromas are revealed by the3 extraction methods, but not only. You will find the latest technological advances that make Jura a coffee specialist:
The P.E.P. technology (pulsed extraction process), which calculates the optimal extraction time. 3D percolation ensures even flow across the coffee puck in the extraction chamber.
Drinks can be personalised with thegrind amount across 10 levels from 6 to 10 g, theextraction temperature across 3 levels. This machine is fitted with a single-flow spout. The grounds hatch on top of the machine allows for decaf or coffee exploration. The burr espresso machine can be connected to theJ.O.E® application and guide you through machine settings and maintenance steps.
Maintenance of the Jura Ena 5 espresso grinder
The Ena 5 bean-to-cup machine is maintained in a few steps. The goal is to extend the life of the machine and preserve the aromas of your coffee. The advantage of the machine's screen is that it will warn you of the need for maintenance and guide you step by step.
- The brewing unit: The percolation chamber retains ground coffee residues after extractions, which eventually alter the taste of your coffee. The Jura Ena 5 machine will warn you when cleaning is necessary. For added convenience, this maintenance is carried out using a cleaning tablet inserted into the machine every 10 days on average.
- The descaling: This essential step removes limescale residues present in the machine's internal circuit. If this step is not performed, limescale eventually clogs the machine's pipes and causes leaks. Descaling should be carried out every 2 to 3 months depending on the hardness of your water and the number of drinks made by the machine.
- The filter cartridge: It has several uses, such as purifying the water to give it a neutral taste and removing some of the limescale from your water. The machine is compatible with Jura Claris Smart+ cartridges. The espresso grinder will indicate when it needs to be changed.
