Baristator Tamper: A perfect diameter for controlled extraction
Equipped with a flat base made of stainless steel of 58.6 mm, this Baristator torque tamper was developed to ensure even tamping across the entire surface of the basket. Its precisely adjusted diameter effectively covers the edges of the filter, limiting untamped areas and contributing to a uniform distribution of the grounds, essential for consistency in the cup.
Unlike standard tampers, often undersized, this model offers optimal contact with the filter and reduces coffee waste as well as the risk of channeling. It is perfectly suited for professional espresso machines and semi-professional machines equipped with 58 mm groups, thus meeting the demands of baristas and establishments seeking consistency and precision.
A functionally shaped base
Thanks to its integrated torque mechanism, this Baristator tamper guarantees constant tamping pressure, regardless of the force applied by the user. This repeatability ensures stable and reproducible extraction, essential in a high-volume professional environment.
The system is fully adjustable: simply unscrew the end of the handle to precisely adjust the desired pressure force, according to the coffee being used or the extraction profile sought.
The specific geometry of its base, different from traditional tampers with straight edges, serves a purely technical purpose. In addition to effectively covering the basket and limiting any loss of grounds, it promotes gradual air evacuation during tamping, avoiding the suction effect often observed with classic models. Result: stable grounds, better distributed pressure, and better control of flow during extraction.
