I was pleasantly surprised by the De’Longhi Magnifica S 2252. Its compact size is perfect for small kitchens, and it’s very intuitive to use. In just moments you get a flavorful, well-extracted coffee with a beautiful crema. The built-in grinder is efficient, the grind is uniform, which allows you to enjoy a balanced espresso.
I also appreciate the ability to easily customize your drinks: you can adjust the strength or length of the coffee to your preferences. The steam wand is a real asset for getting started with milk drinks: with a little practice, you can create nice milk foam for homemade cappuccinos.
In my opinion, it's an ideal machine for discovering the world of whole-bean coffee without any complexity. If you're a fan of milk-based drinks on a daily basis, I'd rather recommend a model equipped with an integrated milk carafe, which is even more convenient to use.
