TheSri Lanka, also calledisland of tea, is the fourth largest producer oftea(green and black) in the world. Theteaharvested on this island is often calledCeylon, the historical name of Sri Lanka.
Thisgreen teacomes from afine picking, only the bud, which contains mainly the benefits oftea, and the first two leaves are selected.
The particularity ofSri Lankan teais the coppery color in the cup and its fruity notes. Once infused, you get a refreshing, energizing and aromatic drink.

About the SOFA cooperative:
Facing the large tea plantations in Sri Lanka, the SOFA cooperative supports this small-scale agriculture concerned with biodiversity through soil fertilization. 600 producers own small gardens where they grow tea and spices ensuring monetary income through fair trade. They also grow fruits and vegetables for their personal consumption.
