TheNeapolitan coffee makerwas invented inNaplesand is inspired by the firstfilter coffee makermade in1691byDu Belloy. The name of the inventor of the Neapolitan coffee maker remains unknown to this day.
TheNeapolitan coffee maker,called inNaples cuccumella, produces a coffee with a light body and full flavor. For many Neapolitans, using thisILSA coffee makeris synonymous with family reunions and conviviality.

How to use your Neapolitan coffee maker?
- Fill the water reservoir up to the small hole located 1cm from the edge.
- Pour 6g of medium-ground coffee into the filter reservoir.
- Screw the upper part of the filter to close it, then insert the filter-reservoir into the water reservoir.
- Insert the upper part of the coffee maker, with the spout, above the lower part, so that the spout is facing downwards.
- Heat the Neapolitan coffee maker (with the spout positioned downwards) and bring the water to a boil. The water boils when a stream of steam escapes from the small hole.
- Remove the coffee maker from the heat, then flip it over with a quick motion while holding it by the two handles.
- The water descends, passes through the filter containing the coffee and reaches the lower part.
- Wait a few moments before serving and tasting.
