How to make coffee in your stainless-steel Italian coffee maker?
The Moka Express is a stainless-steel Italian coffee maker designed to simplify a daily ritual. Making coffee in it is therefore very easy: fill the reservoir up to the mark, then place the filter which you will fill with ground coffee (be sure to choose a grind suited to Italian coffee makers). Screw on the top part of the coffee maker. Put it on a gas burner at medium heat and let the coffee brew. Once all the water has risen into the top container, remove the coffee maker from the heat. All that's left is to serve! The simple and elegant handle is designed for optimal grip without risk of burns.
A coffee maker, a story: the Bialetti Italian coffee maker
The Moka Express is the very first Italian coffee maker model. It was designed in 1933 by engineer Alfonso Bialetti who wanted to take part in the century of revolution he was living in by revolutionizing, himself, a daily gesture.
By watching washerwomen at work he got the idea of using the principle of the laundry boiler to adapt it to coffee preparation. His motto: "FAST, STRONG, RESISTANT, LIKE THE CAFFEINE.”
Over the years, its design inspired by Alfonso Bialetti's wife's figure was refined to achieve this model combining elegance and performance.
