The VST Lab Coffee III Refractometer is the essential tool for baristas seeking the perfect cup of coffee. It calculates the TDS rate in the cup after the coffee is transformed from solid to liquid state.
TheVST Lab Coffee IIIcalculates theTDS ratein the cup. TDS stands forTotal Dissolved Solids,or in French,Quantity of Dry Residue. This represents the total amount of solid components we can find in coffee, once transformed from solid to liquid state (in the cup).
TheVSTcalculates theTDSrate to within 0.01%. It has excellent precision of +/- 0.01%.
You can select two measurement scales, one forfilter coffee, and one forespressowhere theTDSwill be different.
You will find differentTDSvalues by testing your coffee with multiple parameters:
- Brewing time
- Grind type
- Dose weight
- Brewing temperature
- Water quality
- Roast color
For each of these tests yourVST Refractometerwill give you different data so you can find the perfect balance of aromas and TDS in your cup.
TheVST CoffeeToolsapp is downloadable oniPhone, iPad and ANDROIDwhich allows you to adjust yourVST Refractometer.You will also find your test results there.
