The advantages of the French Press
We speak of French Press, or "French Press". Very popular in French households, the French Press has acquired over the years (mainly across the Atlantic) this name which refers to the press method of the coffee maker, associated with French prestige.
A practical and easy-to-use French Press
Bodum French Presses are the simplest coffee makers to use. Pour coarse ground coffee for French Press into the carafe, cover with the right amount of hot water (not boiling), let steep for 4 to 5 minutes and slowly press the plunger all the way down. All you have to do is serve in a coffee cup or double-walled glass, and enjoy!
The design of the copper Chambord by Bodum
Bodum's founder, Jørgen Bodum, began working on his version of the French Press in the 70s. The acquisition of Melior-Martin in 1991 led to the creation of this model. Chambord is now known worldwide as the iconic model of the Italian Bodum French Press brand. Both classic and avant-garde, this coffee maker proudly sits in kitchens across France and beyond.
