The100% Arabica coffeefrom organic farming, contained in these soft pods, is grown at high altitude (about 1500m) inBolivia .
Thiscoffeewill seduce you with its very fruity aroma with a slight touch of acidity due to the volcanic soil where it is grown. This mild and aromatic coffee will be ideal at the end of the day.
Cultivation certified without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Decaffeination process
Thedecaffeinationrequires professional know-how and high technology. Theunroasted coffee beansare made porous bysteam treatment.
Then to extract thecaffeine, Destinationchose not to use solvents, butwater and CO2, thanks to the only unit installed in Europe using this process. CO2, a component of the air we breathe, happens to be a powerful solvent for caffeine. It is circulated under pressure throughgreen coffee beans immersed in water.
When the desired residual caffeine level is reached, the circulation is stopped, thecoffeeis gently dried until it returns to its initial moisture level. Thus, the structure of the green and roasted beans, the flavor, the taste of the roasted coffee, the coffee infusion are almost intact.
There is absolutely no health risk since thecoffeeis put in contact with 100% pure substances: chemically inert carbon dioxide (and totally evaporated) and pure water.
