The KitchenAid espresso grinder5KES8556has a sleek and elegant style, equipped with a2.4-inch screen that provides access to the machine’s various settings. An LED bar on the coffee spout lights up while drinks are being prepared. This machine features large containers suited for family use.
The lid is fitted with an airtight seal that protects the coffee beans from oxidation. The drip tray pulls out to the front to give access to the puck container. The height-adjustable coffee spout accommodates cups up to 13 cm.
The KitchenAid KF6 bean-to-cup coffee machineoffers up to 15 customisable recipes. Espresso lovers will easily find the perfect in-cup balance thanks to the various settings available. The grind fineness lets you achieve harmony between acidity and bitterness across7 positions. Temperature and strength can be adjusted over 3 levels. Coffee strength can be set to 5 positions to give your coffee more body.
During machine testing, we appreciated the very first extraction’slovely thick hazelnut-coloured crema, obtained with a medium grind setting. The in-cup result is perfect, achieved with a medium roast as used throughout all tests.
The machine also offers milk-based drinks made using a milk tube that you immerse in the container of your choice. Each drink can be customised for temperature and volume.
Thebean hopper is removable, allowing you to switch coffees easily with a slight retention of 9.6 g in the grinder. To prevent coffee mixing, the machine has a purge function that empties any remaining grounds. For decaf, you can also use theground-coffee chute.
The machine is certifiedQuiet Mark for quieter extraction, which we appreciated during testing.
The espresso grinder is equipped with aThermocoil heating systemto reach water temperature faster, letting the machine be ready to brew in 40 seconds.
The machine needs regular maintenance to ensure drink quality. The espresso grinder guides you step by step via its 2.4-inch screen.
