The EP2339/40 is a compact bean-to-cup coffee maker, featuring a side-mounted water tank to optimize space. Its black finish with silver accents gives it an elegant look, suitable for any kitchen. Its generous containers reduce the frequency of refills:
Philips has improved the bean container lid to provide better sealing and reduce noise. Thanks to this, grinding is carried out in optimal silence, ensuring a high-quality coffee experience. This acoustic comfort is certified by Quiet Mark and BaristaDiscount, with an average sound level of only 52 decibels when preparing an espresso. In addition, the opaque lid protects your beans from oxidation and light, ensuring optimal preservation.
With the Philips 2300 series, it is very easy to customize your drinks. Quickly select your choice on the modern touchscreen, where the different options are represented by colorful icons. Its 100% ceramic grinder is adjustable over 12 levels, allowing you to go from a very fine to a coarser grind. Depending on the type of coffee used, you can adjust its bitterness and acidity. Remember, the finer the grind, the more aromas will be extracted by the water.
My Coffee Choice : this feature allows you to select the intensity and length of your coffee on three levels, including milk foam for your cappuccinos.

To ensure the durability of your machine and quality coffee, maintenance is crucial. Several components of the EP2339/40 are dishwasher-safe, such as the drip tray and the LatteGo carafe. The carafe, composed of only two parts, cleans in a snap.
The coffee group is also removable, allowing it to be rinsed under warm water—an operation that should be carried out weekly to eliminate coffee residues. To prevent limescale build-up and ensure water quality, it is advisable to use AquaClean filters, making it possible to prepare up to 5,000 cups before descaling (replacing the cartridge according to the machine’s indications).
What we think:
Philips SilentBrew machines are indeed quiet and let you make a cappuccino or boil water for your infusions. The LatteGo carafe is very easy to clean, although it produces a foam that is a little too light for my taste. Its intuitive interface lets you select your drink and its settings quickly, but connoisseurs may miss information on quantity and temperature.
The EP2339/40 is perfectly suited to a couple who drink coffee daily, but those looking for more variety may turn to the Philips 3000 series models.
