Why choose Terra Etica organic ground coffee
The company Terra Etica invites you to taste its ground coffee from organic farming, made up of 100 % arabica. The beans used to make this ground coffee come from the Buyengero terroir located in Burundi, a country in East Africa. It is the UMCO W'IKAWA cooperative, situated at over 1500 m altitude, that grows this fair-trade coffee with a constant concern for fighting soil erosion.
This Terra Etica ground coffee is brewed using the filter method and is best enjoyed at mealtime, in the afternoon. It can even be used as part of your meal.
You will discover a silky coffee on the palate and a liveliness leaning towards acidity. This is partly due to the presence of notes of stewed red fruits, spices, and cocoa. Intense aromas also emerge during tasting.

Ingredients and recipe to be found on the brand's website
Recipe:
1) To make the pastry cream : bring the milk to a boil with the vanilla and ground coffee. Let infuse for 5 minutes
2) In another saucepan : mix the egg yolks with the sugar, flour, and finally the previously infused milk. Bring everything to a boil while stirring and then set aside in a container in the refrigerator.
3) For the dough : mix the butter, sugar, flour, baking powder. Then add the eggs and rum. Knead for 5 minutes.
4) In a suitable mold: spread a first layer of dough, bringing it up the sides. Pour the coffee cream over the dough and cover again with dough.
5) Let rest for one hour in the refrigerator before placing in the oven at 160 °C for 30 minutes.
