Specialty green coffee: farm, producer, origin
Finca La Riviera is part of the Café Uba estate,situated at 1,800 metres above sea level in Santa Rosa de Cabal,in South America. The farm enjoys acool, humid climate, influenced by the snow-capped mountains, with soil rich in organic matter. The large day-to-night temperature swing (30°C to 15°C) allows the cultivation of coffees with unique aromas.
La Riviera has been growing the rare Sudan Rume variety for 11 years. Thanks to innovative fermentation and drying methods, the farm produces exceptional coffees that often win awards. The coffee is processed using the “natural” method, yielding a complex, floral and fruity cup with bright acidity and lovely sweetness.
Julio Cesar Madrid, third-generation producer, founded Café Uba in 2014. Passionate about innovation, he has turned his three farms into laboratories to create coffees with unique flavours, blending tradition and science. He is recognised for his numerous prizes and the exceptional quality of the Sudan Rume variety. Today, Café Uba is a major reference for specialty coffee in its country.
