The Baristina from Philips is a innovative espresso machine to prepare your coffee in complete simplicity. Its compact size will allow you to place it very easily in your kitchen or on your desk.
This Philips Baristina BAR500/00 features an elegant stainless steel body.
It is equipped with a silent grinder (72 dB), to appreciate all the flavors of a freshly ground coffee.
Philips has designed the Baristina with a more eco-responsible approach: the coffee grounds can go in your compost and the recyclable packaging contains 0% plastic.
Energy consumption is minimal: 2.6 Wh (watt-hours) in standby mode and 122.8 Wh when the Baristina prepares a coffee.
Philips Baristina metal: your mini barista for a good coffee
With its compact format, the Philips Baristina coffee machine is ideal for solo or duo use.
With it, you will be able to prepare an espresso or a long coffee (lungo) in less than a minute, perfect for a great start to difficult mornings! Philips also adds a refreshing option: Iced Coffee, to vary the pleasures.
The great innovation of the Baristina is the idea of "Swiper and let it flow" : engage the filter holder, select an espresso or a lungo and slide the filter holder to the right. The grinder will dispense the freshly ground coffee and the filter holder will move automatically to start the extraction.
All you have to do is enjoy your cup of coffee. Fast, fun and efficient.

The Philips Baristina coffee machine has been designed to make your life easier.
The Baristina has no on/off mode: as long as it is plugged in, it remains in standby mode for energy savings. The machine starts automatically as soon as you select a drink. It goes back into standby mode as soon as it is no longer preparing coffee.
With just four buttons, you can choose between an espresso, a lungo, an iced coffee, and also get a stronger coffee with the intensity booster button.
And if you want to change the amount of coffee in the cup, programming is very simple. This will allow you to get an espresso between 30 and 70 ml or a long coffee between 70 and 200 ml (the maximum is perfect for a mug).
The grinder requires no adjustments, just put your coffee beans in the hopper, the Baristina Plus will do the rest.
Additionally, the Philips Baristina Plus allows you to put ground coffee in the filter holder, an option that will be welcome for people who prefer a decaf coffee from time to time.
This Philips Baristina coffee machine comes with a removable drip tray to be able to use taller cups and a stainless steel cup holder.
Simplified maintenance
Ease of maintenance is another strong point of the Philips Baristina espresso grinder machine.
Its innovative wood-finish portafilter is equipped with an integrated system to eject the coffee puck more easily. Simply rinse the portafilter under clean water to clean it. Your coffee pucks can then be composted.
To rinse the machine's shower head and get rid of ground coffee residue, insert the empty portafilter and press the Intensity Booster button for three seconds. Don't forget to place a cup under the machine for rinsing.
The Baristina coffee machine does not have a space for a filter cartridge: only occasional descaling is required, after about 40 liters of coffee. Remember to use a descaling agent suitable for your coffee machine.
