The Dream espresso machine is the iconic model of the ASCASO brand, coffee machines designed for home use in 2000. The Dream PID is a more complete version than the original Dream.
Without touching its beautiful retro aesthetic silhouette and its color universe, with the Dream PID; Ascaso has evolved its technology to obtain the perfect cup of coffee at home. A machine built with the highest quality materials (aluminum, stainless steel, brass) and minimal plastic use.
The PID version offers professional performance: 58 mm diameter stainless steel portafilter and filters, externally adjustable OPV and external PID display for temperature setting, adjustable pre-infusion, stand-by option and much more. All Ascaso Dream espresso machines are handmade in Barcelona, with a beautiful all-aluminum body. After polishing, the machine is treated with a high-quality varnish (the same coating used in Formula 1 and on boats), with a range of colors in matte finish
The Insulated Thermoblock designed by Ascaso is made of aluminum and stainless steel. This rapid heating system has several advantages:
- The water stays clean, because it is constantly renewed for each coffee. The taste and smell of coffee are not affected. Since the water does not remain in the boiler, being constantly reheated, the quality is not affected.
- Thermal stability and quality in the cup: thanks to its large capacity and its internal pipe measuring more than one meter long. All this is optimized with electronic temperature control (PID).
- The AISI 316 stainless steel water circuit which guarantees no metal migration into the water.
- Less limescale buildup: the stainless steel circuit is easy to clean and reduces limescale buildup.
- Unlimited steam supply and constant pressure for faster heating and better thermal stability.
The PID that allows you to manage several things :
- The extraction temperature
- The steam temperature
- The adjustable pre-infusion (from 0 to 5 seconds)
- Thedigital display is also a timer for extraction
The machine has an adjustable OPV as well as a 3-way solenoid valve allowing depressurization, which will make your coffee puck drier after extraction. The pressure is also controlled using the gauge located on the front panel.
The Ascaso Dream PID espresso machine comes with single filters one and two cups for use with freshly ground coffee using a suitable espresso grinder, pressurized filters one and two cups to be able to use the machine with pre-ground coffee or coffee ground with a basic grinder, and an ESE pod filter.
The steam wand Cool Touch in stainless steel multidirectional will allow you to make beautiful milk foam and practice Latte Art.
The stainless steel portafilter ensures thermal stability for your coffee and its professional (inner) diameter of 58 mm guarantees tenfold extraction quality compared to older versions.
A front panel gauge will help you keep an eye on the boiler pressure during extraction.
The 1.3 L water tank has a good capacity. Bonus: it is illuminated by a LED. Use the cup warmer located on the machine to place your cups and avoid thermal shock when extracting your coffee.

The Ascaso Dream PID espresso machine is equipped with a 3-way solenoid valve, which means you can perform a Backflush (deep cleaning) to clean your machine, using the blind filter and a specialized espresso machine maintenance product.
