Magnifica Smart espresso grinder: a modern design
The Magnifica S Smart FEB 2541.TB bean-to-cup coffee machine offers a sober, minimalist look in trendy titanium with chrome details. Although its size is rather compact, it provides large containers perfectly suited to a couple drinking several beverages a day. You will find a passive cup warmer to preheat your cups and avoid thermal shock (which develops bitterness).

- Water tank: Reservoir capacity 1.8 litres, giving good autonomy
- Puck container: 14 pucks, to be emptied after about 14 coffees
The bean hopper lid is semi-opaque, protecting the coffee beans from light, preventing oxidation and preserving the aromas.

This Magnifica Smart FEB 2541.TB espresso grinder offers 3 drinks with direct access as well as double espresso. Here you will find the traditional espresso, the coffee (a long coffee without pre-infusion) and the doppio + (intense double espresso with specific pre-infusion). This machine is therefore perfect if you are lovers of long drinks, especially for breakfast coffee. A ground coffee chute is also available for using ground coffee (for decaf, for example).
Customising your drinks is very easy thanks to its 13-position steel grinder (grind fineness). You can also choose between 5 coffee strength levels via the front dial (amount of ground coffee) and 10 programmable volume positions. The brewing temperature is adjustable over 3 levels: low, medium or high. Finally, you can make 2 coffees in one brew, which is quite rare on machines at this price.
The DeLonghi Magnifica S Smart is equipped with a powerful steam wand with a variable system that makes it easy to create milk foam. The ring lets you choose whether you want hot milk or milk foam.

Its easy-to-use steam wand is also a real success, you will get a fine, creamy and persistent foam. Making milk drinks is simplified with the assisted steam wand. Go ahead and create cappuccino, latte macchiato, whatever makes you happy?!
Finally, it is one of the quietest machines in this price range. Not only is its grinder very fast, but the grinding noise is also well muffled.
Maintaining the Magnifica Smart FEB 2541.TB coffee machine
Maintenance is just as important as finding the right coffee for your machine. Over time, extraction quality can degrade, the problem probably comes from maintenance. Here are the important steps to maintain your DeLonghi bean-to-cup coffee machine:
Filtration : the filter cartridge will reduce limescale particles present in tap water but also purify the taste of the water so as not to alter the aromas of your coffee.
Descaling : your machine is equipped with an automatic system asking you to perform a descaling to prevent it from scaling up (mainly at the heating system and flow nozzles). A dose of descaler supplied with the machine.
Milk cleaning : this machine has a steam wand that must be maintained after use with a suitable milk cleaner to prevent the proliferation of bacteria.
Cleaning the trays : the containers (grounds tray and waste water tray) can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

This model is an improved version of the legendary De’Longhi Magnifica S 22.140B. Several elements have been optimized on this version, notably the steam wand which is more efficient and of better quality. The machine is more modern than the classic 22.140.B.
It offers excellent in-cup result and optimal features. The only drawback: at maximum intensity, it still consumes too many beans. But since the result is very good, we almost don't want to change anything!
In this price range, it is the quietest, a non-negligible criterion.
