Like all Philips bean-to-cup coffee machines, the coffee group is removable. I therefore recommend removing it once a week to clean it with lukewarm water to remove coffee oils and grind particles. It is also necessary to clean it with detergent tablets once a month.
All maintenance and descaling programs are saved, you just have to follow the procedure when the machine asks you to. Finally, this Philips espresso grinder EP5447/90 accepts the Aquaclean filter cartridge, which filters limescale particles more effectively than a standard filter cartridge. Thus, you can perform a descaling only every 5,000 cycles.
