A cloth coffee filter
EBB is an independent California brand that creates reusable cloth coffee filters. The filter can be used for 100 extractions. The filters are created in collaboration between millers, weavers, and seamstresses passionate about the environment. This filter is compatible with the Chemex with a capacity of 6 to 10 cups.
Usage and care instructions
After each use, rinse your filter with clear water and let it air dry. The mesh of the filter is less fine than a paper filter, so it is important to adjust the coarseness of your grind. To remove coffee oil residues, you can soak your filter in boiling water for 5 minutes. Do not use any cleaning products, as they will alter the taste of your coffee.
EBB
EBB is a brand of cloth coffee filters designed for slow extraction preparation. The cotton used to make the coffee filters is organically grown by cooperatives in Texas and woven in South Carolina. The brand works directly with farms and factories to ensure that every step of the process is sustainable and ethical. To stay close to the manufacturing of the filters and have direct insight into working conditions, the brand selected a small-scale workshop made up of 6 people. No insecticides, herbicides, pesticides, or dyes are used, so the fiber is compatible with coffee preparation. 3% of sales are donated to organizations invested in civil rights protection, marginalized group integration, and environmental protection.
