The new Sage version with cold extraction
With the The Barista Touch Impress espresso machine, SAGE kept all the assets of the famous The Barista Touch model, with three major innovations.
The machine now includes predefined programs for your favorite cold coffees, such as Cold Brew and cold espresso, making their preparation simpler than ever.
The low-temperature extraction minimizes acidity, offering a light and smooth aromatic profile. Prepare a Cold Brew in less than 3 minutes and a creamy cold espresso in less than 2 minutes, for a vast selection of delicious cold coffee recipes.
The integrated grinder is equipped with quality stainless steel conical burrs, with a system of 30 different settings to achieve the ideal grind according to the chosen bean coffee. The hopper can hold up to 340 g of coffee beans.
With its innovative heating system, the ThermoJet, the Sage Barista Touch Impress reaches the optimal extraction temperature in just three seconds. The 2 L water tank provides good autonomy.
The assets of the SAGE Barista Touch Impress
Tamping on the Barista Touch Impress Cold version is done via the side lever.
The SAGE Barista Touch Impress doesn't just tamp the coffee. Indeed, the Impress Puck system mimics the barista's gesture with a 10 kg pressure and a professional 7° twist on the ground coffee puck.
A straight and even tamp ensures a perfect extraction. The tamping lever is effortless, the machine takes care of everything.
- 14 predefined drinks : Espresso, Americano, Café crème, Hot chocolate, Tea, Cold brew, Iced espresso, Espresso Martini, Frappé espresso, Frappé latte, Flat White, Latte, Cappuccino, Babyccino.
- The tea function allows adjusting the water temperature according to the type of tea used.
- Digital control of the PID temperature

- A small hidden drawer behind the drip tray to store your accessories.
The Barista guide on touchscreen
Like the Barista Touch, the SAGE Barista Touch Impress espresso machine is equipped with a digital touchscreen to choose your drink and access numerous settings.
The major innovation is the barista guide : everything has been designed to make your life easier, with clear instructions in French and icons indicating what to press.
- Grind guide : The machine automatically detects the dose of ground coffee. If it is not correct, the screen prompts you to grind and tamp again until you obtain the perfect dose.
When you switch coffee beans, the Sage Barista Touch Impress also lets you calibrate the grinder to suit the new beans by following the on-screen instructions.
- Extraction guide : The machine measures the flow rate and guides you on the screen if your coffee is over-dosed or under-dosed. It tells you exactly how to adjust to achieve the best result in the cup.
- Milk foam guide : you can choose the milk temperature and the desired foam level for your drink.
Thanks to its digital touch screen, the machine simplifies everything: you can customize and save your drinks, manage maintenance and even view tutorials, always with very clear instructions.
The Auto MilQ function with settings for plant-based milks.
Sage also equipped this machine with the automatic milk-foam system. With the supplied milk jug, there is no need for extra equipment.
With Auto MilQ technology, place your jug with the desired amount of milk, immerse the steam wand and follow the on-screen instructions to obtain perfect milk foam.
With Auto MilQ you can:
- Choose the milk temperature with seven settings (from 45 °C to 45 °C).
- Choose the foam consistency, with eight micro-foam levels.
- Adjust the temperature, pressure and steam duration according to the type of milk used: whether cow’s milk, almond, soy or oat, each option has a tailored setting for perfect results.
Plant-based milks heat up faster than cow’s milk, which can complicate their use. This system was specially designed to adapt to each type of milk, ensuring optimal texture and tasty milk drinks whatever your choice.
Accessories and maintenance
Accessories : 480 ml stainless-steel milk jug, 54 mm stainless-steel portafilter, cleaning disc, cleaning tablets, descaling powder, single-cup pressurized filter, double-cup pressurized filter, single-cup non-pressurized filter, double-cup non-pressurized filter, water filter cartridge with holder, cleaning brush, precision dosing tool “The Razor”, steam wand cleaning tool, water-hardness test strip.
Maintenance: For a long-lasting Sage machine and consistently excellent coffee, use filtered water (via a cartridge or pre-filtered). Remember to descale your appliance as indicated by the brand (see the manual) and clean your accessories regularly.
The maintenance of the Sage Barista Touch Impress is simplified by on-screen instructions, an automatic purge steam wand and an easy-to-remove tamping system cover for internal cleaning.
