Terra Etica has chosen a coffee from the lands of Marcala, sourced from the COMSA cooperative. Grown between 1000 and 1500 meters above sea level, this quality arabica coffee benefits from organic and fair trade certifications. Full-bodied, it reveals aromas of roasted almonds and dark chocolate, perfect for a filter tasting at lunchtime or an espresso after a meal, thanks to a medium roast carried out in France.
Offered in a 1 kg format, this coffee is perfect for building a generous stock at the best price, ensuring worry-free coffee breaks, or sharing delicious moments with your loved ones.
The coffee growers of Marcala, Honduras, heirs of the Lenca people, maintain traditional farming practices despite the loss of their language. The COMSA cooperative is a model of advanced organic production, influencing organic coffee farming on a national scale. Located at an altitude of 1300 to 1500 meters, Marcala managed to adapt to the 2012-2013 Rust crisis by cultivating more resistant coffee varieties, such as Typica. Thanks to their expertise, Marcala now produces one of the best coffees in the world, protected by a PDO, and uses organic and biodynamic practices. COMSA constantly innovates and passes on its knowledge through the La Fortaleza center, where it trains producers in composting and natural fertilization techniques. With the support of 25 agronomists, yields and grain quality continue to increase, surpassing national averages.
