A barista espresso machine with L58E group head 'Made in Italy'
The manual espresso machine MaraX PL62X is part of Lelit's "PRO LINE" range, designed for the barista seeking a more advanced espresso experience.
This coffee machine features a beautiful body in brushed stainless steel, the L58E group head paired with a heat exchanger. It allows you to fine-tune your extraction settings, and also comes with the "Coffee Slide" portafilter unique to Lelit.
The L58E extraction group from Lelit is based on the famous E61 group. Some internal parts have been redesigned by Lelit and assembled differently for better performance.
This name change (L58E) ensures that customers do not make modifications or repairs with standard E61 spare parts on their Lelit machines, which might not work or could damage the L58E group.
This manual espresso machine also lets you make Latte Art thanks to its "Cool Touch" semi-professional steam wand in stainless steel.
Its 58 mm brass extraction group places it among semi-professional espresso machines, as it must be paired with a suitable espresso grinder to achieve good in-cup results.
All LELIT espresso machines are made in Italy with materials sourced from Italy or Europe.
Every LELIT espresso machine (regardless of range: evolutive or semi-pro) is also tested twice on the production line before being carefully boxed.
Quality materials and innovative technologies
The Lelit MaraX PL62X is equipped with a large boiler of 1.8 L and a dual probe system that maintains a constant temperature, limits waiting time between extractions and prevents overheating typical of classic HX systems.
With its silent system pump (innovated by LELIT), the Mara is quiet for a semi-professional machine of this type.
Its professional extraction group of 58 mm in diameter and the portafilter made of brass of very high quality ensure good temperature stability.
Moreover, the "Coffee Slide" inclined portafilter unique to Lelit, with its slide-shaped spouts, facilitates the formation of a beautiful crema and also gives a good view of your espresso extraction. The shape of this portafilter allows for even tamping without damaging the spouts.
A steam wand in stainless steel semi-professional and multi-directional to perfect your milk foam and practice Latte Art. With its "Cool Touch" system, you won’t risk burning yourself when touching the wand.
A dedicated hot water tap to lengthen your morning coffee.
The steam wand and the tap have been redesigned so they do not touch the machine body and avoid scratches.
The dual pressure gauge on the front panel to indicate pump pressure and steam pressure.
A water tank with a good capacity of 2.5 L.
A cup warmer with a stainless-steel grid to preheat your cups and prevent thermal shock during extraction.
A drip tray and grid all in stainless steel.
A stainless-steel cup riser is provided for small espresso cups.
Various settings and a more eco-friendly espresso machine
The MaraX PL62X is equipped with a 3-way solenoid valve that drains excess water from the portafilter after extraction and protects the machine in case of overpressure.
The new version of the PL62X (released late 2021) features the new OPV system that discharges water into the water tank (instead of into the drip tray under the group), cutting your water consumption in half.
Eco mode: The system reduces boiler pressure after a period of inactivity. The machine goes to standby after 30 minutes.
The preheating time is fairly quick for a machine of this type (maximum 24 minutes).
The Lelit MaraX PL62X has LED lights to indicate when the machine is ready for use and when the water level in the tank is low.
The E61 group with its lever system allows for mechanical pre-infusion and an exceptional in-cup result!
This machine has a button on the side to choose between "Coffee" mode (factory mode prioritizing coffee so you can pull shots back-to-back) or "Steam" mode (mode that gives priority to steam).
Another button (hidden behind the drip tray) lets you change the coffee temperature with 3 choices:
- 0 - Fairly hot – With steam pressure between 0.9 and 1.2 bars
- I - Hot – With steam pressure between 1.1 and 1.4 bars
- = - Very hot – With steam pressure between 1.3 and 1.6 bars
Backflush function for deep cleaning
With its 3-way solenoid valve, the Lelit MaraX PL62X lets you perform a Backflush (deep cleaning) to clean your machine, using the blind filter and a specialized detergent.

For the little story, Lelit named this espresso machine "Mara" in homage to the character played by Sophia Loren in the film "Leri, oggi e domani".

2-spout "Coffee Slide" portafilter in brass (58 mm), Single filter 1 cup (9 to 11 g), Single filter 2 cups (14 to 18 g), Single filter 2 cups PLUS (18 to 21 g), Blind filter, Stainless steel cup riser, Steel tamper with red wooden handle, ABS dosing spoon, one Lelit filter cartridge, basic maintenance kit.
Since late 2021, all filters supplied with 58 mm LELIT espresso machines are IMS filters, made of 304 stainless steel.
IMS filters are perforated with extreme precision, with uniform holes and polished walls to improve coffee extraction.
